
Changes Coming for Lubbock’s Solid Waste Fees
The City of Lubbock is reminding both residents and commercial property owners that changes to fees for solid waste took place at the start of the month.
Residents using City of Lubbock garbage collection will now pay $16.25 per month, plus state and federal fees. This is a one dollar increase over the previous city rate.
The amended commercial rates for a two cubic yard container is $43.23, a three cubic yard container is $64.08, a four cubic yard container is $84.93, a six cubic yard container is $122.95 and an eight cubic yard container is $160.97 – plus any applicable state or federal fee or surcharge.
According to the City of Lubbock, the last time solid waste rates were increased was in 2010.
