Local Church Offers Lubbock’s Homeless a Place to Stay
With the holiday season right around the corner, everybody is in a cheerful mood and planning family events. But what they may not be thinking of is the homeless population and the freezing cold nights that are coming.
Carpenter's Church, located at 1916 13th St. in Lubbock, is providing emergency aid to the homeless population when it gets below 32 degrees at night. They will extend their hours until an overnight shelter is opened.
While a temporary solution, it's a safe option for the homeless in Lubbock. Carpenter's Church is currently accepting volunteers and donations to help in this busy season.
