They may have been the first South Korean act to take home a Billboard Music Award last year, but in 2018, BTS are going to hit the stage again—as performers!

"Look out for our second appearance or—say what?—FIRST performance at the @BBMAs!" the band announced on Twitter Tuesday morning (April 24).

"Thank you ARMY for making our performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards possible. Please expect a lot from our performance," they added in a note written in Korean.

The act will also premiere a brand new song at the award show, Billboard confirms.

The performance will take place just 48 hours after the release of the group's latest album, Love Yourself: Tear, on May 18. The album will serve as the follow-up to 2017's Love Yourself: Her.

The news of BTS' forthcoming landmark performance comes just days after the group hit yet another milestone on YouTube when the video for their single "DNA" became the most viewed K-pop video in history.

Last November, BTS made history as the first K-pop act to perform at the 2017 American Music Awards, an event which also marked the group's debut U.S. televised performance.

The Billboard Music Awards air on NBC Sunday, May 20 at 8PM EST.
