It looks like the NFL is playing it safe this year and tapped singer-songwriter Bruno Mars to perform during halftime of the 2014 Super Bowl in February.

Super Bowl XLVIII kicks off on  Feb. 2 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This year analysts expect 100 million viewers in the United States alone.

If you have not seen Bruno Mars do his thing live then you know it's a no-brainer why the NFL picked him to perform at the Super Bowl.

Bruno's game is so tight right now as he is coming off his Moonshine Jungle world tour and he has a string of chart-topping hits including, 'Locked Out of Heaven' and 'Gorilla' from his latest album, 'Unorthodox Jukebox.'

No word if there will be any special guests joining Bruno Mars during his halftime show.
