During the weekly Texas Tech football press conference, head coach Matt Wells announced that running back Armand Shyne would miss the rest of the season with broken ribs.

Coach Wells said the injury to Shyne happened during the Kansas game. However, Shyne could be back if Texas Tech reaches a bowl game.

The senior grad transfer from Utah played in all eight games for the Red Raiders this season, totaling 374 yards rushing on 65 carries, with three touchdowns.

With Shyne out, the Red Raiders will rely heavily on the tandem of SaRodorick Thompson and Ta'Zhawn Henry out of the backfield for the remainder of the year.

The Red Raiders look to come off their bye week rejuvenated when they take on the West Virginia Mountaineers this Saturday (November 9th) at 11 a.m. in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Talk 1340 will be live Saturday morning with Countdown to Kickoff from 9-11 a.m., featuring Rob Breaux, Karson Robinson and Michael McDonald.
