More than a dozen Backstreet Boys fans were injured at the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Oklahoma Sunday (August 18) when a storm caused a metal structure to collapse on fans, leaving more than a dozen injured.

According to NME, a storm manifested before the outdoor show and "staff began to evacuating fans when winds of 70-80mph knocked over entrance trusses." About 150 fans did not listen to directions, though, according to a statement provided by the venue.

About 10 ambulances arrived after the collapse to treat 14 people and take them to nearby hospitals.

The group tweeted amid the chaos that they planned to cancel and reschedule the show.

“We never want to put our fans in harm’s way and with tonight’s weather and the injuries from earlier, we have decided to cancel the show and will attempt to reschedule. The most important thing is for everyone to get home safely and we will see you all very soon!" the tweet read.

“So sad as I was really excited for us to rock Oklahoma tonight … Hope everyone’s ok and safe," member Howie Dorough added.
