The eight seniors who made us rethink band camp and baked goods in 1999 return for their high school reunion in the new American Pie comedy, out next year. In the last 12 years, there have been many personal highs for the gang: Jason Biggs, Tara Reid, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Mena Suvari and Alyson Hannigan are all married, and Hannigan welcomed a baby girl in 2009. "In many respects we've grown up a lot," Scott says "But on the other hand we haven't grown up at all. On-set, Jason Biggs was farting up a storm, Chris Klein was belching, and Eddie Kaye Thomas and Biggs were hitting each other in [the groin]." There have been struggles too: Klein, Seann William Scott and Reid have been to rehab. Something else hasn't changed, says Biggs. "We realized that no matter how much we may have changed individually, as a group we will always be connected and have a special chemistry that arises immediately when we're together." Scott agrees: "We can't help but be reminded that a lot of us started off our careers together."
As for his character, Stifler, Scott says this time nothing was off limits in movie, called American Reunion and set for release April 6, 2012.
"We didn't put any rules on what he would say or what he would do," says Scott. "He is way crazier than we have ever seen him."
