An Iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race Queen is Performing in Lubbock

If you are a fan of drag queens, then you have most likely been keeping up with RuPaul’s Drag Race over the years.

The show is currently on it’s 15th season ans features several iconic queens including Jax, Sasha Colby, Loosey LaDuca, Sugar and Spice (twins you might be familiar with from TikTok), and more.

The season is currently airing and we have sadly seen a few amazing queens leave so far. However, one of the iconic queens that is still in the running is going to be performing in Lubbock this weekend at Club Luxor.

Aura Mayari is a queen that currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee, but was born in the Philippines. She refers to herself as the “Filipina Moon Goddess”, and absolutely fits that description.

You can see examples of her performances on her social media as well as iconic photos, and updates on her time on RuPaul’s Drag Race. I saw her announcement on Twitter that she will be coming to Lubbock February 4th, 2023, and I was immediately excited.

Looking at the tickets available online, there are three options ranging from $10 to $120. You can get tickets for general admission (GA), GA plus a meet and greet with Aura, or GA, the meet and greet, and a a reserved table for up to four people.

Drag shows are an extremely good time and Luzon is a great bar for one. If you plan to go, get ready for a great time, and don’t forget to bring some cash to tip.
