Amy Winehouse’s Dad Is Writing a Memoir
Amy Winehouse‘s father Mitch has made it his mission to preserve his daughter’s memory, and what better way than in a book?
Since the 27-year-old British pop star died on July 23 of unknown causes, her dad has already set up the Amy Winehouse Foundation to help others like his daughter deal with substance-abuse. And now he’ll write a memoir.
Mitch said, “I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy… to help with my personal recovery [and to] raise as much money as possible for Amy’s foundation… I believe that through Amy’s music, her foundation, and this book, her name will live forever.”
Titled ‘Amy, My Daughter,’ the book will be published by HarperCollins next summer and all proceeds will benefit the Winehouse Foundation.
