Akon Plays a Modern Knight in Shining Armor in ‘So Blue’ Video

It's been a while since we've heard from Akon, but not to worry. The singer is back with a new visual for his latest song, 'So Blue.'

Off his long-awaited fourth LP, 'Stadium,' Akon shows loads of bravery in the video. He plays a hero that has to save a pretty lady from the treacherous hands of a bad guy (Tiny Lister) who has taken her hostage. Throwing her (literally) into a run-down room inside a hotel, she leaves a trail of burning pieces of paper, forming a breadcrumb-like trail for Akon to follow and essentially save her from harm.

While the drama is the crux of the clip, we find the Konvict Music crooner pacing around a room by himself and singing. The woman ends up setting her own room on fire and bashes a lamp on Lister's head in hopes to escape. However, they both get locked in the blazing bedroom. Of course, this story has a happy ending because Akon bursts through the door within seconds and carries her to safety like a knight in shining armor. And the two live happily ever after -- naturally.
