So I'm just chillin' on Saturday watching the Travel Channel. It was a show called Extreme Restaurants. Kinda cool to see what they have around the world, and how creative some people can get just with a restaurant. Then they show the video for Taipei, Taiwain's Modern Toilet. Yes its a toilet themed restaurant. Here's what it says on the Travel Channel's website:

"Owner Wang Tzi-Wei opened Modern Toilet after the success of his ice cream shop that sold swirls of ice cream served in mini toilets. Now there are 12 branches of Modern Toilet throughout Taiwan and Hong Kong."

Ok so let's just stop right there. An ice cream shop that served swirls, of chocolate and vanilla, IN MINI TOILET BOWLS. Personally that's already to far for me. But it was such a hit in Taiwan that they expanded it into a full restaurant? Really? Now they serve lemonade and curry chicken, served in mini urinals and toilets. Don't believe me yet? Watch the video.

So they have a poo mascot, food that looks like poo, and toilet bowl dishes?

Why?

I understand that different cultures have different customs, and different social norms, but I also thought that poo was kind of a universlly bad thing. Isn't that why we build sewer systems that remove all of that from our lives without us having to see or know what's happening to it? The last thing I would want then is to go to a restaurant that reminds of what happens to my food whn I'm done with it, especially right before I eat! Hey different strokes right? No, I'll pass.

Maybe its just me but I have quite a few reservations about eating there, so I'm pretty sure that's one restaurant I won't be making reservations for.
