The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced a recall of over 25,000 GRACO car seats. These seats were sold nationwide and contain what the NHTSA considers a significant defect.

According to the recall, the Graco My Ride convertible seats don’t meet standards due to the webbing that is used to secure the child in the seat.

Graco claims that they have received no reports of injuries or failures of the product, but the NHTSA still gives the webbing a failing grade and requested a voluntary recall.

According to The Consumerist:

“The recall covers eight car seat models manufactured between May 2014 and August 2014 and sold at national retailers for between $120 and $200. The following model numbers are affected: 1871689, 1908152, 1813074, 1872691, 1853478, 1877535, 1813015, and 1794334.”

If you have one of the seats affected you are urged to call GRACO at 330-283-1136.
