A Lubbock Restaurant Is Offering a Free Meal to Everyone Who Needs It on Thanksgiving
While some of us get to go home for Thanksgiving and enjoy time with their loved ones, Now We Taco’N Taqueria wants to help others who don't have that opportunity. So if you don't have plans or are a college student saying in Lubbock, they have you covered.
I'm so proud that a Lubbock restaurant is stepping up and doing this. I've been stuck in a town with no family over the holidays with nowhere to go, and honestly it was one of the hardest things. Now We Taco’N Taqueria is welcoming everyone so that doesn't happen to anyone else.
The restaurant will be hosting their second Friendsgiving, asking anyone to come join them for a free meal. They say you're welcome to take the meal to go or enjoy with everyone there.
It will be happening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 25th at 1021 University, Unit 1025. They do ask if you would like to come to RSVP to taconow@yahoo.com so they can make sure they have enough food for everyone.
I hope this tradition continues and maybe sparks something in surrounding areas to start doing this. No one should be alone for the holidays and I hope if you are riding this and not sure if you should go, you definitely should. The owners of the restaurant truly do mean it and want to help you. Plus, their food is delicious!
