A Humble Plea for Someone to Open a Dog Restaurant in Lubbock

You’ve heard the plea for a cat café in Lubbock, but what about a dog restaurant?

In case you aren’t familiar, a cat café is a place where you can enjoy yummy drinks, possibly some snacks, all while in the company of adorable and sometimes adoptable cats. This is a trend that originated in Japan, but blew up and has quickly spread around the world.

While I do love this concept and this Lubbock should have a cat café of its own, what about those of us that prefer dogs?

What if instead of having a café that serves food for humans and simply features adorable animals, we have a restaurant that dog owners can take their pets to and both enjoy a meal? Well, a restaurant like that currently exists in Palm Springs, California, called Boozehounds.

This restaurant has a dog-friendly patio and a special menu created for pups. You can order yourself a meal and your pet can eat right alongside you with their own dog-friendly meal.

While Lubbock does have a lot of dog-friendly patios you can take your pup to, I want a restaurant like this where I can take my dog out for a special meal rather than just have them sit under the table while I eat and they stare, hoping I drop something for them to gobble up.

So, who out there is a huge dog and food lover that wants to make this a reality? I would be more than willing to help out in order to bring a dog restaurant like Boozehounds to Lubbock.
