$8.1 Million iPad Features Gold, Diamonds and Dinosaur Bones (Seriously)
Designer Stuart Hughes, who specializes in bringing bling to everything from beds to yachts to liquor bottles, is now offering a gold- and diamond-encrusted iPad 2 for the princely sum of $8.1 million called the Gold History Edition.
What’s so historic about an iPad? The name actually refers to the material used to make the gadget’s front frame, ammolite, which is the oldest rock in the world. In fact, the particular ammolite rock used for the device is estimated to be 75 million years old and is reinforced with shavings from a 65 million-year-old Tyrannosaurus Rex thigh bone. It’s basically the most excessive Angry Birds console ever.
