Friday morning (June 16), the Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees met in a closed session to interview five applicants for the open seat on the Lubbock ISD School Board.

Trustees returned to open session after four hours and voted to appoint Zach Brady (pictured, left) to the Board of Trustees. Brady is a graduate of Texas Tech University, small business owner, and an attorney.

Brady will serve until the next board election, which is on May 5th, 2018. Voters will then select a candidate to fill the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends in May 2020.

Brady replaces Melissa Collier who resigned from the Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees earlier this year.
