There are a lot of people out there who don't want you to vote. That's okay. But not being registered is not okay.

You can go by the elections office until 7 p.m. Tuesday night. It's located at 1308 Crickets Avenue. You can also go by the Post Office. As long as you get your voter registration application postmarked by Tuesday, you're good to go.

A lot of people are unhappy with the choices in this presidential election. Let's not forget though, there are a lot of other offices up for grabs, too. You can make your point by being registered and voting in the contests you do care about.

Then there's the option of registering to vote, then withholding that vote out of protest. To me that says that you recognize that you have the power, but you chose not to use it this time.

I absolutely don't believe that either candidate is going to flush the entire U.S.  I just don't think it's possible. Whether you're with me or not on that issue, you can change a lot in the smaller races and by working to make sure there are candidates better suited to you available in the next election.

Don't give up your right to vote even if you don't like your choices. Go get registered. It takes a few minutes at the absolute most. Get the power to change things and use it when you're ready.
