On the South Plains, a winter storm watch remains in effect for Wednesday evening (Jan. 21) through Thursday evening (Jan. 22).

Snowfall may be heavy, with accumulations between 1 and 5 inches and possibly up to 6 inches or more for the extreme southwest panhandle.

Remember to take time to warm your vehicle engine and clean windows prior to driving. Road conditions will be hazardous, so allow plenty of time to drive slowly!

Snow flurries may continue into Friday morning.
