The United family of supermarkets will open two new Market Street stores in Midland and Odessa in 2015.

In a press release, United Family President Robert Taylor said the company has been waiting for the perfect moment -- and locations -- to bring the stores to the two cities.

"We are thrilled to introduce the Market Street brand to Midland and Odessa," said Taylor. "We have been looking at both cities for quite some time to find the right location. This is a unique opportunity and these Albertsons Market stores are perfectly suited to be transitioned into Market Street stores."

According to the company, the two Market Street stores will be built at the same location as two Albertsons Market stores. The Midland Market Street store is at N. Midkiff Road and will open this summer, and the Odessa Market Street store is at E.42nd Street and will open in the fall.

Both stores will remain open during the reconstruction phase.

"Our goal is to minimize the impact to Guests as much as possible while construction is occurring," said Taylor. "We will remain open, and we have a plan in place to ensure that Guests can continue shopping with us throughout the process."

The company said the new Market Street locations will each feature an expanded bakery, prepared food, an in-store dining space, coffee shop, bulk food and a Living Well section.
