Two semi-trucks collided Tuesday on US-84 near Posey, Texas and Slaton, almost 20 miles southeast of Lubbock.

According to reports, a pickup truck pulled out of a Wayne's liquor store near the area and into the path of an oncoming semi-truck in the passing left lane of Slaton Highway.

In an attempt to avoid hitting the truck, the semi side-swiped another 18-wheeler in the right lane. Both vehicles went off the road, and one of them landing directly onto a railroad track.

Lubbock, Slaton, and Buffalo Springs law enforcement all responded to the wreck, and Santa Fe Burlington Northern, the company in charge of the rail line, was notified of the blocked railroad.

No official word on the condition of the two semi-truck drivers.
