No matter how skeptical some UFO headlines can make us, this story will make you think twice.

Right here in Texas, in the quiet town of Aurora (north of Fort Worth), is a case that has baffled experts for years, and is still unsolved.

You can view a plaque at the graveyard where an alleged Martian was buried after the unidentified flying object (UFO) crashed from the sky in the late 1800s, according to some extensive research by the Houston Chronicle.

The alleged UFO reportedly crashed into the windmill of a farm on April 17, 1897. According to stories, the pilot did not survive and was buried in the local cemetery.

According to the Texas UFO Museum and Research Library, many pieces of the story stand up, despite hoax theories. The video above, by former newspaper journalist and New York Times best-selling author Jim Marrs, explores many aspects of the story and makes a good argument for its authenticity.

There are a lot of questions, but also a lot of unexplained facts. What do you think? Was this a true UFO story? Although there were other alleged UFO incidents in the 1890s, this is the only one reported in Texas.
