Thursday, January 7, federal agents in Houston arrested 24-year-old Palestinian man Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan for potential ties to ISIL.

Al Hardan was born in Iraq, but gained permanent residency in the Bayou City of Houston four years ago.

The suspected ISIS supporter originally journeyed to the United States on or around November of 2009, but didn't garner legal permanent residency in the U.S. until 2011.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Al Hardan was charged in a three-count indictment with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Al Hardan is one of three immigrants arrested in America recently (Milwaukee, Sacramento) with links to terrorism. He will face a federal magistrate Friday, January 8, at 10 a.m. in Houston.
