The Red Raiders put up a fight, but the undefeated Kansas Jayhawks were too much as the Red Raiders fell in straight sets.

Meghan Stacy and Lauren Douglass led the team in kills with eight. Defensive beast Carlie Foust registered 23 out of 50 team digs. Marguerite Grubb had 37 of the teams 38 assists.

The Red Raiders pulled out to an early lead in the first set, and Tech would hold that advantage until halfway through the first set. Kansas would come back and eventually win by a score of 25-21. It was a back-and-forth match that was tied nine times; the lead changed hands four times.

Tech put up another strong start in the second frame before losing 25-14. Nine different Red Raiders had recorded at least one dig by halftime, with Foust at 21.

The third set, which featured six tied scores and three lead changes, had the Red Raiders up big early before Kansas stormed back in the middle of the frame.

Texas Tech (12-6, Big 12 1-3) returns to the United Supermarkets Arena on Saturday, Oct. 10, to face TCU on Alumni Weekend at 11 a.m. Admission is complimentary for all fans attending the match.
