Mark Anthony Ysasaga ‘Justice 4 Mark’ Protest in Lubbock

As you all probably remember this summer there was finally an arrest made in the disappearance and murder of Mark Anthony Ysasaga.

Last week, the one person who has been arrested in connection with this case pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of tampering with evidence and all other charges were dropped, including the murder charge.

At the sentencing, Jose Simental was sentenced to just seven years in prison. Naturally. there has not been a positive reaction to this sentence. Keep in mind, the sentences for many other non-violent crimes are much, much longer.

As a way to voice the concerns citizens have about this sentence, there will be a peaceful protest held today until 5 p.m. at 19th and University.

When will this family get the justice they deserve for their son?
