Peelander Z describes themselves as a "Japanese Action Comic Punk Band" and really, they are exactly that fun. It's like the Power Rangers and Yo Gabba Gabba are your best friends and they want to play you the most fun punk show for your birthday. It's crazy happy, crazy interactive and fun. And they have songs about meat and how everyone's name is Mike.

The last time I saw Peelander Z perform, I was brought on stage to play the bass guitar (I don't know how to play, but they had me hit one note over and over) and my bestie Michael played their guitar (luckily he's a talented musician).

Everyone was given a metal dog bowl and a drumstick to beat along with us and it was ridiculously fun. During certain songs, everyone is encouraged to dance and sing along. It's charming but also still punk rock. And at some point, a squid monster usually shows up.
