New Movies Opening Today: Frozen, Homefront and Black Nativity

There are three new movies opening this weekend. Disney's "Frozen" hits theaters today. It's about a princess who accidentally freezes her kingdom. The Jennifer Hudson musical "Black Nativity" is another family-friendly option. If you want action, Jason Statham kicks butt in "Homefront".

"Frozen" (PG)

The latest animated Disney movie follows two sisters who are princesses. The older one has the magical ability to freeze things, but she accidentally causes an eternal winter. So she locks herself away because she can't control her power.

Homefront (R)

Jason Statham plays a former DEA agent who moves to a small town with his young daughter. But when she decks a schoolyard bully, the boy's meth dealing uncle figures out he's a cop and decides to make it personal.

"Black Nativity" (PG)

A holiday musical where Jennifer Hudson plays a working mom who can't take care of her teenage son. So she sends him to live with a reverend, Forest Whitaker, and his wife, Angela Bassett. But the kid gets into trouble and has to learn the meaning of Christmas.
