School Delays, Closings and More Winter Weather Announcements for Thursday, March 5

Lubbock and nearby South Plains schools have announced delays for Thursday, March 5 due to winter weather.

The Chick-fil-A locations at 82nd & Milwaukee and 69th & Slide Road in Lubbock will open at 8 a.m.

• Texas Tech University -- Classes delayed until 11 a.m. Classes scheduled to start before 11 a.m. are cancelled. Buses beginning running on campus at 10 a.m.
• Texas Tech Early Head Start -- 9:30 a.m.
• South Plains College, all campuses -- Classes start at 9:30 a.m.

• Frenship ISD -- Two-hour delay
• Lubbock ISD -- Two-hour delay
• Lubbock-Cooper ISD -- Two-hour delay, buses pavement only
• Idalou ISD -- 10 a.m. start
• New Deal ISD -- Two-hours late, buses two-hours late
• Roosevelt ISD -- 10 a.m. start, buses on pavement, Buffalo & Ransom students at the top of the hill
