A suspect who remains on the loose tore off an air conditioner and fired into a Lubbock home's living room, wounding two people sleeping inside.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, the shooting occurred early Thursday morning (September 8) on East 28th Street. Officers responding to a shots fired call discovered two men inside the home suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

The victims have been identified as Dequan Willard and Byron Parker, both 21.

EverythingLubbock.com reports that police said the two men were sleeping in the living room when the suspect, who has yet to be identified, "ripped down the window air conditioning unit and opened fire inside the living room."

One of the victims told police that he returned fire at the suspect, but wasn't sure if he had struck him or her.
