A woman was arrested after reportedly stabbing a man in Lubbock Wednesday night (March 11).

According to the Lubbock Police Department, a 911 call was received around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday night about a stabbing at 102 N. Zenith. Upon arriving, officers discovered a 68-year-old man who had been stabbed multiple times.

A second call was then received from the Stripes at 19th St. and Milwaukee Ave. by a woman who said she had stabbed a man and would wait for police at the location.

Officers arrived at the Stripes convenience store and took the woman, 26-year-old Joann Broussard, into custody without further incident. Broussard was transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center and booked for Aggravated Assault.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to UMC with serious injuries.
