Lubbock Holiday Happening Is a Haven for Shoppers

The Lubbock Junior League's Annual Holiday Happening is, well, happening at the Lubbock Civic Center.

Over 130 vendors filled the main exhibit hall and spilled over into an adjacent exhibit hall. Whatever it is you enjoy shopping for, Holiday Happening probably has it.

We perused aisles and aisles and aisles filled with adorable toggery for the ladies and kiddos, from adorned t-shirts to tunics, boots, hats, gloves and boot socks. We also saw beautiful furniture, art and home accents.

There are also samples of what seemed like hundreds of foods from make your own dips, soups, daiquiris, bread and various kinds of coated and natural pecans, cashews and other nuts. We tasted smoked meats, including our beloved bacon.

If you're into embellishment, then you will be hitting the right place. Bling rules the holiday, with rhinestones found on virtually every clothing item and many home accents and furniture.
