Lubbock Police Officer Shoots & Kills Dog While Serving Warrant
Friday morning (Dec. 8), a Lubbock police officer shot and killed a dog that threatened officer safety.
Special investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety requested the assistance of Lubbock Police Department's SWAT to serve a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 2900 block of Amherst Street.
At about 10:30 a.m. as officers made entry, an aggressive dog threatening officer safety was shot and killed. Lubbock Animal Control also responded to the scene.
Two arrests have been made, but the arrestees' information has not been made public yet.
