Fun. is one of the coolest bands to hit the scene in the last few years, and one of my favorites, too! Now, singer Nate Ruess has dropped a solo project and you're hearing it first on KISS New Music.

Thankfully, according to the band, Fun. are not breaking up. They are going on an "indefinite hiatus" until they feel like writing music again. But we all know that it could still mark the end of the band. "Indefinite hiatus" has always been a code word for potential break-ups.

Nate has written some super hits before, including Ke$ha's "Die Young" and P!nk's "Just Give Me a Reason" which he also sang on. And he has Red Hot Chili Peppers member Josh Klinghoffer playing guitar on this song.

I'm not a music critic and I'm not going to tell you that this song sounds like the wind whispering through the ocean or something stupid like that. I am going to tell you that if you like Fun., then you'll like this.

If this is Nate solo, then I can't wait to hear more Fun. music -- if we ever get it, that is.
