Bittersweet news, Beliebers: You may not see Justin Bieber at the 2018 Grammy Awards this year, but that just means the pop star is busy in the studio.

TMZ reports that the Canadian artist won't attend the Grammys — or any other award show, for that matter — until his follow-up to Purpose is complete.

This means Bieber, who also skipped the Grammys last year, reportedly won't be on hand to perform his 2017 smash hit remix with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, "Despacito," which is also up for three awards this year: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, meanwhile, are scheduled to perform "Despacito" during the ceremony on Sunday, January 28.

In August 2017, "Despacito" became the most-watched video on YouTube.

Bieber's fourth studio album, Purpose, was released in 2015. Including his nominations this year, the singer has been nominated for ten Grammy awards. He took home his first in 2016 when he won the award for Best Dance Recording for his song "Where Are U Now."
