It’s National Chips & Dip Day! A Guide to The Best In Lubbock
I'm not sure why Chips & Dip needs a special day (isn't every day a good day to celebrate this perfect combination?). But today is the day. So reflect on why you're grateful for them, take a moment of silence and then dig in! Here's a little list of my favorite places to get my dip on.
La Diosa specializes in tapas, or "little plates", just enough food for snacking while you sip their signature sangria. The hummus trio is to die for.
The Gas Light has an array of delicious dips (and I'm not even including the Ahi Tuna Nachos which are not technically a chip/dip but look how I managed to mention it anyway). The dip trio is a wonderful way to share your favorites with friends.
There are many, many great places to get chips with salsa, queso and guac here in town but the options to add in meats and the generous guac portions at Fuzzy's are what put it on the list.
If you are wanting to go into the exotic for your chip dipping, Thai Kitchen gives free rice chips with a very interesting Thai dipping sauce before your meal. It's light and yummy.
Taqueria Autlan has an outrageously amazing salsa bar including an insanely hot jalapeno salsa that I eat until my mouth hurts. Chips & salsa are served free with your meal.
