The Patrick Mahomes train keeps rolling on Monday night as the Chiefs head to Denver to play the Broncos in a divisional matchup. The main storyline here is the quarterback battle between the proteges of Kliff Kingsbury. Both Patrick Mahomes and Case Keenum were system quarterbacks in college that had no shot in the NFL.

If you didn't know, Kliff was Case Keenum's quarterback coach at Houston with head coach Kevin Sumlin before the duo went to Texas A&M. Here's a flash back to Kliff in 2011:

Keenum is coming off a playoff run that ended in the NFC Championship and Patrick Mahomes is setting new records every week. This will be Mahomes and Keenum's first start against each other and the first time two former Kliffinites have gone toe to toe at the quarterback position.

The offensive styles are much different, but the success has been similar with the Chiefs off to a 3-0 start and the Broncos are undefeated at home. One of those records will be blemished tonight. Kingsbury was asked if he was going to make it to the game on the bye week, but he just hopes to stay awake long enough to watch the game. He did say that the game should be fun and called Keenum and Mahomes two awesome human beings.

As for the game tonight, the Broncos have an elite pass rusher in Von Miller that will try and slow down the Kansas City red-hot Chiefs offense that is averaging almost 40 points a game. The methodical approach to the Broncos offense sees them at 20 points per game on offense but the Chiefs defense has been porous.

Stop me if you've heard this before, Patrick Mahomes will have to utilize his myriad of weapons tonight and hope that his defense can hang on for the ride. The best news though is that you can hear all the action tonight on Sportsradio 1340 the Fan!

That's right, you can listen to every single Denver Broncos game on 1340 AM, but the bonus tonight is Patrick Mahomes will also be sharing the airwaves.

1340 The Fan is excited to partner with Guns Up Nation this season. Check them out on Facebook here.
