Let me start by saying that no matter what you encounter in life, graduating college is hard. And anyone who does it is a total champ in my book.

Texas Tech student Sam Blankenship had it harder than most of us. Not only did she face an unplanned pregnancy, she also battled breast cancer. It took six years of really hard work, but she graduated from Texas Tech, all while raising a beautiful baby girl.

Here's what Sam said on Twitter:

After six years of hard work and determination, working through breast cancer and an unexpected pregnancy, i graduated college with my daughter watching and clapping for her mommy.

I'm not the only one impressed with her. The president of Texas Tech, Lawrence Schovanec, shouted her out, too:

Great job, Sam, and may all your hard work and dedication lead you to a rich and beautiful life. Thank you for inspiring me and everyone else.
