Were you like me and overindulged a bit on Independence Day? Hey, it happens and when you are around hot dogs, burgers, chips, and frosty cold adult beverages we can all become a little weak.

Now it's time to get back on track, so why not try a turkey burger the next time you fire up that grill? Brenda Duby with United Supermarkets joined me today to talk about turkey burgers and how you can make them taste delicious. Duby said one of the main complaints about turkey burgers is that they are too dry. Duby said there are ways to combat this.

According to Duby, use shredded vegetables. Shredded mushrooms, onions, garlic, and zucchini are all great options. Why? That gives the burger moisture and retains vitamins. Duby also suggested spicing it up with jalapenos and green chilies. Throw in a little salt and other seasoning and you've just improved your turkey burger.
