Hot DVD Drops This Week include Johnny Depp and Tim Burton’s “Dark Shadows” [VIDEO]
It’s Tuesday and that means that New DVD’s and BlueRay’s are in stores and this week, just in time for Halloween “Dark Shadow’s” is released, along with a spooky paranormal thriller starring Sigourney Weaver Cillian Murphy and Robert DeNiro.
“Dark Shadows” – Johnny Depp is vampire Barnabas Collins. He was human until a jealous witch cursed him, and buried him alive for 200 years. When he’s released by a construction crew, he returns home to restore the family name to its former glory.
Helena Bonham Carter and Bond girl Eva Green are also in it, and the Collins family is played by Michelle Pfeiffer, Jonny Lee Miller, and 15-year-old Chloe Grace Moretz.
“People Like Us” – Chris Pine finds out that his dad’s final wish was for him to deliver $150,000 in cash to a 30-year-old sister he never knew he had. Elizabeth Banks plays the sister, Olivia Wilde is his girlfriend, and Michelle Pfieffer plays his mom.
“Red Lights” is a paranormal thriller starring Sigourney Weaver and Cillian Murphy as paranormal investigators trying to expose a blind psychic as a fraud. He’s played with menacing effect by Robert DeNiro. Elizabeth Olsen is also in it as a student Murphy sleeps with.
“Cowgirls ‘N Angels” – A group of rodeo trick riders recruit a young girl to join them as she searches for her long-lost father. James Cromwell plays the old man running the rodeo. Jackson Rathbone, a.k.a. Jasper Hale in the “Twilight” movies, is also in it.
