Friends of the Library Sale Is Back September 22-25

The Friends of the Library will host their Fall Booksale this September 22nd-25th in the basement of the Mahon Library (1306 9th St). Friday, September 22nd is a members only preview; however, memberships can be bought at the door, membership types include:
Family/Individual ..... $10.00 annually
Student ................... $5.00 annually
Individual Patron ..... $25.00 annually
Business Patron ...... $100.00 annually

I have found many incredible treasures at these sales including a first English language printing of a rare book- I  paid $7 and it's worth about $150. But I'd never sell it. Regardless of the types of books you like there really is something for everyone including children's books, graphic novels, cook books, text books, classics and more.

Friends of the Library is also a wonderful volunteering opportunity. Volunteering requires purchasing a membership. I've volunteered with my daughter building shelves and sorting books. It's a pleasant experience if you need or want to volunteer.
