For those of you who thought In-N-Out in Lubbock was going to soon become a reality, well, you're going to have to wait a bit longer.

According to our news BFF's at Everything Lubbock, In-N-Out has confirmed that they own property in Lubbock, but they are "still in the very early stages of our development plans in West Texas."

Back in late 2016, Carl Van Fleet, vice president of planning and development at In-N-Out Burger, told Lubbock's KFYO News something similar.

"We are definitely interested in Lubbock as part of our future growth plans, but we are still in the early stages of the planning process, so it is much too early to try to project any type of timing," he said.

There's a theory that they might be looking at having multiple sites and building them all at once, versus opening one single store at a time.

The big question is will people still be excited about it if it takes another year? How about three? That is going to be up to the consumer to decide.

In the meanwhile, enjoy them when you go to Dallas-Fort Worth.
