Do You Trick Or Treat On School Nights Or The Weekends?

I've been trying to figure out the answer to this question ever since I had kids. If Halloween is on a weeknight, or school night, do you do your trick-or-treating on those nights? Do you do it on the weekend before or after Halloween? Please help because I'm confused.

When I was a kid we would head out after the sun went down for trick-or-treating. In this day and age you're supposed to do it when the sun is out for safety reasons. But are you going out this Monday night and still hope to get the kids to bed for school Tuesday? Are you doing adult parties Friday and Saturday? I don't know how this works anymore and I'm hoping you do. Comment on our Facebook page with the right way to do school night Halloween.
