The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Payal Modi, an art teacher at Adamson High School in Dallas has been placed on administrative leave.

The action comes after a video went viral on Wednesday that appears to show Modi shooting a water gun at an image of President Donald Trump and shouting "die!"

Modi had actually posted the video of herself on her own Instagram account this past Friday. The video shows the image of President Trump on a classroom whiteboard. When Trump appears on the whiteboard, Modi screams "die" before pointing and shooting the water gun at Trump.

The video appears to have been from the Inauguration last Friday. While no school kids are shown in the video, voices can be heard.

Since the video went viral on Wednesday night, Modi has deleted the video from her Instagram account and may have de-activated her account completely.

Thursday afternoon, Dallas ISD released the following statement:

"Today, we were made aware of a social media posting being circulated involving a teacher at W. H. Adamson High School. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and the district has opened an investigation. This is a personnel matter and, as such, we cannot comment."

Conservative website Gateway Pundit reported Wednesday that the Irving Office of the Secret Service was aware of the video, but did not comment on whether they were investigating.
