Lubbock's annual animal event, CritterFest, is coming back to Lubbock later this month.

CritterFest '18 will be held on June 21, 22, 23, and 24 at the Science Spectrum, located at 2579 South Loop 289. This year's CritterFest will bring elephants, alligators, crocodiles, camels, giant tortoises, big snakes, a kangaroo, and other animals. Activities including a petting zoo, pony and camel rides, and other animals on display.

Two shows will also be featured at CritterFest; The Pompeyo Family Dog Show and Crocodile Encounters.

The Pompeyo Family Dog Show is a new act featuring trained rescue dogs. The show gained recognition after being featured on America's Got Talent last year.

Crocodile Encounters is an educational show that features American alligators and Nile crocodiles.

Here is the schedule of showtimes:

Pompeyo Family Dog Show:

  • Thursday, Friday & Sunday - 11:30am, 2:00, & 5:00pm
  • Saturday - 11:00am, 1:00, 3:00, & 5:00pm

Crocodile Encounters:

  • Thursday, Friday & Sunday - 1:00 & 4:00pm
  • Saturday - 12:00, 2:00, & 4:00pm

Tickets to CritterFest include viewing of all animal displays, shows, and includes regular Museum admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door each day of the event.

General Admission Ticket Rates for CritterFest '18:

  • Adults - $12.50
  • Children (3-12) - $10.00
  • Seniors (60+) - $10:00

Museum Member Admission Prices for CritterFest '18 shows:

  • Adults - $5.00
  • Children - $4.00

*children 2 and under gain free event admission.
