The City of Lubbock has announced maintenance work on 34th Street from Milwaukee to Upland Avenue.

Work will consist of replacing the current roadway with new asphalt, the City said. Closures along 34th Street between Milwaukee and Upland Avenue will occur during this project.

The first phase requires a closure from Rochester to Upland Avenue, and the second phase will close Rochester to Milwaukee.

The project is set to begin on Monday, September 24, and will take approximately four to eight weeks to complete.
