This Sunday Los Hermanos Familia host their 5th annual West Texas Latino Arts Exhibit & Día de Los Muertos Celebración at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center from 1pm-6pm.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children however, if you come in costume or with your face painted the price is reduced to $3 for adults, and $1 for children.

Join us for a family friendly event celebrating the traditions and culture of this special day. This year, we’re inviting all families, young and old, to join us and celebrate the tradition of Día de los Muertos! With activities for every member of the family – from children’s activities, to entertainment and great food samples – the day will be full of color, art, music, dancing, a decorated cake contest, beautiful altars, a Best Decorated Lowrider & Classic Cars contest, as well as rich heritage, and more!

 

Dia de Los Muertos is a gorgeous holiday that originated in Mexico, with roots dating to as far back as 3000 years ago.
