Lubbock has no shortage of talented individuals- many of whom have gone off to stellar careers in the entertainment industry. And it's a real treat when they come back home to perform for us.

David Gaschen is an established Broadway and musical theater star from Lubbock, and a Texas Tech Graduate. He even has a star on the West Texas Walk of Fame and a Distinguished Alumni Award from Texas Tech's School of Visual and Performing Arts.

This November he will be performing as the lead in one of the most popular musicals of all time: Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.

According to a press release from Texas Tech, Gaschen is excited to return to his hometown:

I am beyond excited to return to Lubbock to perform as the Phantom in ‘The Phantom of the Opera,’” Gaschen said. “I have waited for this moment for 20 long years and now the time has come. I am so proud to be from Lubbock and an alumnus of Texas Tech. A big thank-you to Texas Tech for giving me this incredible opportunity.

Gaschen has performed as the Phantom for over 1500 performances. For tickets or more information, visit Texas Tech's School of Music Page.
