Back in April, the Lubbock City Council announced plans to begin what it calls the "Complete Street."

Starting June 19th, the streets department will begin the first phase of the plan by marking Broadway between University and MLK Blvd.

According to the city, parking and access to local businesses will not be affected by the project.

When the project is completed, Broadway will have access to bike lanes, pedestrian access and traffic will be reduced from four lanes to three (one lane in each direction with a turn lane).

Do you think this is a good idea, or do you think traffic flow will be restricted? Let us know in the comments below!
