NYC

I can say that standing high up on a very tall building would not be one of my normal go-to things for fun.

But one of the best tourist attraction in all of NYC is the Empire State Building. We decided to go around 10 p.m. thinking that maybe the crowds had thinned down. I mean, the building is open until 2 a.m., so this was good thinking, right? Wrong.

It was packed, even at 10 p.m. We made our way to the ticket counter, plunked down $40 each and began the long winding road to the elevators.

We finally made it up to the 86th floor and From The Empire State Building describes it best:

The Observation Deck wraps around the building’s spire, providing 360-degree views of New York and beyond. From up here you’ll get one-of-a-kind views of Central Park, The Hudson River and East River, The Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, The Statue of Liberty, and much more. Our official Observatory Experience app teaches you about your view from every direction. Then take advantage of our high-powered binoculars to get a closer look.

We spent 45 minutes looking at New York City from various points, and the views are breathtaking to say the least. If you get up to NYC, it's worth a trip up to the 86th floor.
