For all of you out there there that love a great story and the first steps of rock and roll, I have a "Sundance Select" documentary that you have to see.

Before Sid Vicious and Johnny Rotten shocked the World as the "Sex Pistols" or Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee became "The Ramones", tucked away in a Detroit Michigan home, three African American brothers were busy in a spare bedroom inventing Rock and Roll. Needless to say three African Americans playing "white boy music" was not exactly what record labels were looking for. Motown was the only sounds we heard from black voices and disco was burning up the charts. Managing a few gigs, pressing a single 45 and a demo album in 1974 was as close to the Rock Star dream that a band called "Death" would ever come. Or is it?

After 30 years spent in an attic, the master recordings of the 1974 demo are back and whole new generation have discovered the first "PUNK" artists ever. You have to take this ride and discover the incredible story of the "real" innovators of what we today call rock and roll. "Death " has finally arrived.

"A Band Called Death" is out on DVD is in stores or on Amazon.com. You can also get it OnDemand with Suddenlink.
