The countdown to Halloween has officially begun.

This past weekend, The Maize at At'l Do Farms opened -- a sure sign to locals that fall is here and that Halloween is fast approaching.

Each year, thousands of people from Lubbock and surrounding areas look forward to finding their way through the maze.

As in years past, the farm has plenty to offer to keep families busy for hours. The main attraction is the regular maze, but for the less adventurous there is also a mini maze, cow train ride, corn cannon, hay rides, a petting zoo, plenty of picture opportunities, along with food and snacks.

The final day for At'l Do Farms' The Maize, located at 6323 FM 1294, is Saturday, November 12. It's open Tuesday-Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. It's closed on Mondays.

More information on The Maize is available at their website.
